Anne Katherine Devereaux

Anne Katherine Devereaux passed away on September 20, 2022, in Clearfield, Utah.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Devereaux; children, Terea Harker, James Devereaux, Erin Devereaux, and Hailey Devereaux; parents, Larry and Marilyn Reinarz; siblings, Paul Reinarz, Christian Reinarz, and Scott Reinarz; and all her beloved extended family members and in-laws.

Anne was born on April 19, 1975, in Rexburg, Idaho. She graduated from Orem High School in Orem, Utah. She attended and completed courses/certifications in Fire Science & Emergency Medicine at Utah Valley University. At age 19, she became one of the youngest Fire Fighter/EMT's hired by the South Davis Fire Department. She worked as a Fire Fighter/EMT and an emergency room EMT. She married Steve Devereaux on February 25, 1995, in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had four children: Terea Harker, James Devereaux, Erin Devereaux, and Hailey Devereaux.

Anne was remarkable, strong-willed, and determined as she devoted herself to a life in public service and helping those in need. Even though Anne was incredibly kind, always caring, and deeply compassionate, those closest to her would say she was intensely stubborn, just like her mother. Anne was a devoted mother and wife. She loved her children and was always very proud of them and loved being their biggest cheerleader or even their head coach. Anne loved taking her kids on new adventures and sharing with them all the things in life that she enjoyed. She loved being able to spend time with her family and friends. The only thing she might have loved even more would have been the Denver Broncos or the Boston Red Sox. Anne loved to play practical jokes no matter how embarrassing or humiliating it might be. She always enjoyed making others laugh, but Anne's joyous laugh is one you would never forget. She always just wanted to be wherever the fun was being had.

Anne had a wonderful, beautiful soul and leaves this life having filled it with incredible experiences. Anne's amazing, delightful spirit and loud laugh will be missed. We love you and will miss you, Anne.
